Activists of the Town Twinning Association also took part in a campaign against the invasion of Northern Syria by the Turkish military. For example, in January 2020, as part of a creative protest together with the campaign “Women defend Rojava”, the Kurdish Women’s Council Dest – Dan and the Freie Schule Kreuzberg at Breidscheidtplatz in memory of the children who have become victims of the Turkish war of occupation.
The Participants exposed children’s shoes to make visible who are the most unprotected victims of this war.
